The Parking Lot is a bit less formal than the Main meeting,however we still carry all the ACT traditions. Stay after the meeting and hang out for a bit!

Parking Lot (PL) Cheat Sheet
Qualifications for PL Chair and Co-Chair:
1. Must be in active service for the main meeting.
2. Chair must have 6 months of sobriety
3. Cochair must have 90 days of sobriety.
4. Follows ACT traditions.
Chair and Co-Chair Responsibilities
1. Check PL WhatsApp chat every Sunday for the weekly PL schedule. Find
coverage if you cannot fill your service role for any reason. Please be sure the ACT service team is aware of any changes.
2. Attend the main meeting before the PL if you are on service.
3. Focus on your speakers. We are here to be supportive fellows that share our experience, hope and strength.
4. Follows ACT traditions.
*During the PL*
Chairing:
1. Read the chair script.
2. Speak with cochair to see how much time you will give for the PL (30, 45 minutes etc.) The agreed upon time is when the PL will end.
3. Call on participants, giving precedence to people from the main meeting with a hand still up and newcomers or those with burning
desires.
4. Use zoom timer set for 5 minutes for each share.
5. Communicate with cochair as needed via private messaging.
Co-Chairing:
1. Mute/Unmute participants
2. Post approved “PL Chat Announcements” found on this site under documents
3. Communicate with chair as needed via private messaging.
4. Fill in for chair if any technical difficulties happen.
5. Bomber patrol – rarely do we get bombers, but you are the lookout.
NOTE:
Schedules are posted every Sunday. In both the parking
lot service position on WhatsApp and in the service
positions of WhatsApp. Please post in the parking lot chat
if you are going on vacations OR need a sub.

Hello and welcome to the parking lot portion of the Clandestine Travelers. My name is _____.
This parking lot follows the Clandestine Travelers traditions. We also use a 5-minute timer so that others have a chance to share. If time allows, you may come back in and share again.
This parking lot will be open for ____ (chair chooses length) today. If you are a newcomer, or your hand was up from the previous meeting, you are particularly important to us. We would love for you to share first so we can get to know you a little bit better.
We also want to ensure a safe environment for everyone. We believe in civility and supporting our fellow members. Remember that everything you hear in the parking lot needs to stay in the parking lot. Also, if you are drinking, we ask that you listen only.
